  • My role involves machining. Using different clamping devices l, cutters and collets

  • Yes I have learnt new skills how to set up machines in different ways eg like clamping devices, setting up cutters into different holding devices like collets and jacobs chucks I’ve also developed my hand fitting skills because I did a level 2 mechanical course in college before this

  • I really enjoy the apprenticeship programme what’s happening because it gives more opportunities to be hands on because I am working with machinery like milking machines and lathes. I also enjoy doing hand fitting because I did a level two in college before the apprenticeship and I really enjoyed it

  • The programme is very well organised and structured because it’s all in the order but there are improvements what could be done to alter the programme. Overall I think this is a very good programme what’s been done

  • I receive support from my employer like helplines and other phone numbers to help you if anything was going wrong or If you needed help

  • I receive support when doing my training but I could receive more because I ask for help but they don’t give me help. And they say just transpose it but they don’t do anything to help me

  • My qualifications help me perform better in my role because i learn things before the job and take them into my work
