  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the course i have chosen as this is the industry and sector of engineering I am interested in as this is the hands on side of things instead of being at a computer. Since i’m colourblind i couldn’t be an electrician so this was my GO TO Course as this allowed me to show my skills

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • When I first entered the course i believed the timetable was a bit all over the place, but once i got into the routine I enjoy the split you get as you get a some computer work and physical activity planned out throughout the week, We were given all the emails and phone numbers we needed if we needed to contact for support or help.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We receive a lot of support from our supplier including days out or help throughout other services, including HR which help with our safety and our emotional levels. We were given numbers to ring if needed. Some of our employers do sometimes take some time to reply but they are busy so you have to have patience.

  • 9a. Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I believe BAE as a company as a whole is a good company to work for as they will provide you with the knowledge and help you mature in the working world due to the strict restrictions and policies put in place to keep the safety to a maximum. Also the company looks after you and allows some leeway when you have problems going on and will help you in every way they can

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • When applying, you must think is this the job for you as this isn’t the easy way out and think you’re finished. The apprenticeship is the just the start of your life and you can lose the apprenticeship at anytime if you do not follow the correct procedures so you will have to mature quickly and adjust to completing work to a dead line and correct your behaviour
