I work in the MIMO team within the bank. I help produce insights for the bank app.
Yes, my programming skills have improved remarkably. I now have knowledge about Python and SQL, thanks to my day to day jobs and my university classes.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme, i am completing a university degree whilst gaining work experience and earning money. The bank is also very supportive and looks after my well being well.
It is well structured, i have university every friday and work from monday to thursday. During those four days i am also given time to complete additional university work.
Lots of support, i have daily meetings with my manager who supports me with any tasks i need help with. I also have daily standup where i can discuss any issues i am having and what support i need.
I have lectures every friday where i am able to ask any questions vocally. My lectures also always reply to my emails quickly.
I learn key skills during university that i need in my day to day role, especially on the technical side of my role (python, sql).
I have joined the early careers team, this is where i talk to students in school about my apprenticeship experience and its benefits.
Yes
The apprenticeship programme is amazing, as i said earlier your learning, gaining work experience and earning money. NatWest are also very supportive and look out for my well being constantly.
For apprenticeships you have to complete a three week bootcamp before your interview. So i recommend taking everything in from this bootcamp as it will really help with your interview. Also learn and understand the CPC before your interview.
