I am currently doing care and protection in Ancillaries, I am cleaning pipes on 1-2 of my 3 day week, love the shifts.
I have gained knowledge on how an engineering workplace operates and feel more confident in the environtment.
This is the most I have enjoyed any job or learning experience, I think it should be a lot more commonplace.
Splitting the college work and in house learning was a very good move as this allows me to work shifts.
My jorneyman answers all my questions with an explination and example, they leave me alone if they think I can handle the task, any quearys I have for others I get emails from quit quickly.
As stated earlier, it's a brilliant system and I get all the support I need. I've never felt like I've been stuck.
It gives me the know how to quickly itendtify worplace problems and figure them out more quickly than if I hadn't had that training.
Not that I am aware of athough I haven't looked into it all that much.
Yes
It has very good shifts, the toil is a nice bonus to overtime, there's all the support that you could need and it's a good pay.
Make sure to research the role you are going for before applying and maybe look around for other options if you don't get what you want first time.
