the programme is rotational so i have worked in the HR team for a year where i was responsible for taking calls and resonding to emails from internal and external stakeholders. I am now in a consulting team where i do admin work like creating an onboarding pack, creating a newsletter, taking meeting minutes, arranging meetings and communicating with stakeholders.
i have learnt lots of new skills since joining kpmg, my communication skills are much stronger and i feel confident communicating with any level of stakeholder. i have learnt how to use lots of systems like appian, arriba, service now, success factors. i have developed my presentation skills by presenting in meetings and events.
I have enjoyed everything about the programme, the people at KPMG are so welcoming and experienced i feel comfortable asking questions whenever i need to. KPMG strongly focuses on it's people and make you feel valued and supported. i look forward to going to work and I am excited to continue working at KPMG when my apprenticeship ends.
The programme is structured very well, we started with an induction where you meet your cohort and learn lots about KPMG and what to expect. We were given a performance manager who was very supportive and a coach at BPP who supported us through th qualification. The teams i have worked in have been very supportive.
i have received a lot of support from both of the teams i have worked in. My managers have always supported me and ensured i have been happy with my workload and made me feel comfortable raising any concerns. they also made sure i enjoyed the work i was doing.
i received lots of support from my college tutor. she communicated well with me and always answered any questions i had very quickly. the webinars and college days were great and provided us with all of the learning required to prepare us for our assignments. the assignment feedback was always very useful.
my qualification helped me improve my knowledge of business as i had to carry out research to enable me to write my assignment. it also helped me to feel more confident with my communication skills. i had to complete a project for my qualification which helped me to make an improvement to my team.
i joined the KBS community champions which helped me to network. in this role i was able to create activities for the KBS community to help other people meet and get involved in tasks outside their role. i have got involved in coffee roulette which has helped me meet people.
Yes
KPMG is a great place to work and very people focused and makes you feel very valued. I enjoy working here because of the people who work here, everone is friendly and happy to help you learn. I like the flexibility of being able to work the hours that suit me.
i think anyone applying to kpmg should make a strong effort on their application as kpmg has a high performing culture and look for the best people to join. you need to be proactive and wanting to learn and take every opportunity that comes. complete as much training as you can
