Channel Manager looking after the companies trade accounts to include wholesale, retail and online partners, using sales and marketing tactics to help generate growth. I speak with partners regularly, carry out sales analysis, create marketing campaigns, develop relationships, work with internal teams to streamline processes and service and improve ways of working
I have learned a lot of new skills to date, the importance of analysing the external and internal impacts to help inform strategies. How to identify the best marketing strategies to develop using various models, who our stakeholders are and how they influence projects and have power over different tasks.
I really enjoy the theory, learning new things which are relatable to my role. I enjoy stretching myself by applying the theory where I can into my working environment. There are some areas I struggle, but overall having a good experience. I like challenging our current ways of working to improve work outputs.
I think the seminars are really engaging, however, I belleive there should be more tutor-led sessions, 1 every 2 months puts a lot more pressure on myself to research the subject in order to understand before I can even attempt the tasks. The structure appears to be improving as we progress.
My line manager has been very supportive, I feel the wider business could do more to facilitate more movement and flexibility of apprentices around the business enabling them to complete tasks in other areas, shadow other employees to take placement experiences etc on a short turnaround time. This would help
