As the sole marketer I look after all marketing activities within the business, predominantly social media marketing, website content creation and email marketing. I also cover SEO and paid search marketing, occasional print, exhibition preparation and attending, creating testimonials through talking to customers, and more.
Prior to my apprenticeship I knew nothing about marketing and the business world, 2.5 years down the line I am a competent and passionate marketer. I have developed skills in design, analytics, presentational and communication skills, leadership, and gained many new experiences during my employment.
The content of the lectures is comprehensive and up to date, I couldn't be more pleased with the delivery and attitude of the lecturers. They have gone above and beyond to provide the best experience possible in such confusing and troubling times. I look forward to every session!
Very well organised. I like that the days change and the class isn't just every Monday, for example. The units have been delivered in an order that makes sense and we can use knowledge from previous units to build on new ones as they link together well.
My employer is very supportive and encouraging, he is eager to know about what I am doing at uni and that my workload isn't affecting the quality of my work. I have been welcomed into the business and feel very happy and comfortable in the workplace.
A great deal of support is offered by the university. The lecturers and program leaders are always happy to help and give extra guidance, and there are many other personal support programs available to us at the university including support for mental health and the LGBTQ+ community.
Incredibly well. The course has opened my eyes to the possibilities of marketing and gives me many ideas and insights to think about. It has enhanced the quality and effectiveness of my work a great deal and this is reflected in the results we are now achieving from marketing activities.
As a very small business (6 members of staff) we don't really have extra curricular activities. However I am given the opportunity to be out of the office and meet customers onsite often, I attend an exhibition in the UK every year and one in Germany every 3 years.
Yes
As a small business we are very friendly and customer focused, it is a relaxed atmosphere and a joy to work at.
If you are looking for a challenge or something a bit different, Spectronic is the place for you.
