on a day to day basis we just do the job role we are getting trained to do during our apprenticeship, we are trained on 3 different things during our apprenticeship and we change what we are doing very 4 months. we are currently call taking which involves speaking to engineers when they need jobs pinning to them or need more jobs
i feel like my communication skills have improved a bit whilst working here as it is a huge part of the job role. Also i feel as though my time management skills have improved as you have to organise your time quite alot aswell as if not your day will be all over the place
i enjoy my programme, i feel as though it is good to be thrown almost in the dep end with the different job roles as i feel as though that is how you learn the most, however at the moment i am enjoying my time here and taking each day as it comes
i feel as though my programme is relatively well structured i feel as though sometimes we are kept ion the dark a bit when knowing what we are doing next however in an overall perspective it is well organised. I just feel as though it would be nice if we are kept in the plans of things a bit more.
i feel as thought have enough support from my employer. If ever i am struggling with anything i know the right person the get hold of to contact me which i feel is essential especially whilst we are currently working on this apprenticeship scheme as you need support to be there when needed
We do get a lot of support from our training provider we have monthly group catch ups as well as monthly 1 to 1s with our mentor. I feel as though this is a good thing as if we have any questions we know who to ask when in need of help
By doing the qualification, i feel we get to know more about what goes on behind the scenes in the company which helps us have a more rounded view on the company we work for therefore when we do our role we get more of an appreciation of the bigger picture
Recently we have created a five a side football team where we play for an hour every monday after work at a near by pitch which i really enjoy and throughout the office floor there are other things that are organised regularly as well as the football which we do
Yes
because its a very inclusive place to work and there is also a social aspect to it as well rather t5hqan just the work life of it which takes the fact off your mind that you are actually at work which i find really good. you are also looked after well and feels as though the company are investing in you
i would say to others applying to go for it i think its a good comapny to work for and as an apprentice you are exposed to many different paths to go down once you have completed the apprenticeship still within the comapny just doing different job roles within the buisness
