My day to day role involves me taking lead on making sure all the documentation and spreadsheets are up to date and well organised. I mandate the allocation of cases for investigators. I am also in charge of organising meetings or training sessions.
I have learnt many skills in such a short period of time. Some of which include enhancing my Ms ExCel skills, Understanding how the Phoenix software works. And i have also learnt skills on how to manage productivity in co workers without sounding too demanding.
My Job role allows me to develop many attributes such as Independently working as well as working apart of a team. The apprenticeship program has certain aspects that I enjoy whilst others I do not. The Self development modules are great but some tasks can be repetitive.
The structure is quite organised. Where as I feel that it can be inconvenient at times. In order to complete tasks we have to download the tasks, complete them and re-upload them. I would prefer to have everything on the portal where it is automatically saved. Furthermore the journal in the portal often crashes and I have lost what I have written, many times.
The level of support is one of the main reasons that I enjoy my job role. My managers are always very prompt with seeing to my queries ensuring I fully understand what I was struggling with.
My training provider Is very helpful and always corrects me if I am missing something or if she thinks something could be improved.
For me personally, I feel as if not all aspects of the apprenticeship program supports my skill development in my role. I think it develops me better as an individual in a way that allows me to be more confident, and assertive to my task.
I have recently signed up to the gym which is a weekly activity. I am also involved in many social gatherings which allows me to pipe down when i am feeling overwhelmed.
Yes
The management are great and very supportive and the company support BAME people and do not tolerate discrimination.
I would advise people to assure they are organised and can meet deadlines. I would also advise them to be well spoken and confident.
