I have recently moved roles but throughout my apprenticeship i helped perform vulnerability management, triage of security queries and reporting.
Yes, main skill i have developed in excel. Learning to create complex formulas to extract value from data sets. On top of this i have developed skills such as Jira, project management, process writing and MI reporting.
Ive enjoyed my experience, though challenging i have developed a lot professionally and personally, leaving me a totally different person now at the end of my degree.
Overall it has been very organised and i have always known what has been happening and when. This was also well done during a pandemic which shows how organised the apprenticeship teams are.
My main line of support comes from within my team and surrounding area who are always on hand to support me and help me where i need them. This has been much appreciated and a key factor my success during this apprenticeship.
my training provider is always on hand to assist me. My skills coach was responsive to mails as well as the lecturers where i needed feedback or was not too sure. responsive over email was key with me not being close to the uni and a pandemic.
i have learned a lot about what surrounds my area to understand how the organisation works. with this i have picked up some key knowledge around hwo to build a process and manage projects even when my role is not a project manager.
There is plenty to get involved with at work, especially with the facilities on site such as a football pitch, tennis courts and squash courts.

Barclays provide an array of opportunities for young people in a corporate environment. This huge organisation really opens your eyes and allows you to get stuck in to whatever role you are placed in. For the most part everyone is friendly which creates a great working environment. I'm made some great friends for life at this organisation, and the perks and environment at the workplace make it an amazing place to work.
I would advise to stay open minded to the role you are placed it and work hard to continue impressing. There are so many opportunities, so get your foot in the door and continue to develop your professional career.
