On a daily basis, I can do a number of tasks for my role. I can complete the window file, complete admin tasks, greet customers into the store, take payments, attend conference calls, booking holidays and deal with enquiries, help the customer at every touch point through there journey with us.
I have learnt new skills and also developed my existing skills. A big skill that i have developed is my confidence, this was something i struggled with especially when talking on the phone. I have also developed my communication skills when dealing with customers over email, face to face and over the telephone
I really enjoy my apprenticeship with TUI. I enjoy being able to speak to other apprentices on Teams when i do need any help or advise. I can also contact my assessor at any time on teams if i need any help. I also enjoy the face to face apprentice days to be able to meet the other apprentices
During my apprenticeship, the system has changed a couple of times. I did enjoy the old system more than the newer system however I do like the system as we write our assignments on word. The structure is really good and our assessors are really organised with marking our work on time
My manager is really supportive with my apprentice work. She allows me to take time off the counter to make sure i can complete my apprentice work on time and also allows me time to speak to my assessor. She also supports me with my work and answers any questions i might have.
My training provider provides me with support from my apprentice coach. if i have any questions i can pop an email or teams message and when he is free he will email me back with the answer. If its too complex to explain over email he will schedule in a call to ring me back
I feel my qualification has allowed me to learn more details about my role that i feel i might not have learnt without being an apprentice. It has allowed me to learn more with regarding different destinations and also think in more detail about every day tasks we do in store
There are training that we can attend outside of work time where we can meet suppliers and other agents to learn more about what our suppliers can offer our customers and agent offers. We also take part in charity days for our inhouse charity the TUI care foundation which supports projects out in destination
Yes
I enjoy working for TUI and always recommend them to my friends and family. I would also really encourage other people to apply to work for TUI especially in the apprenticeships as i think its an amazing way to get into the travel industry and to get onto the career ladder.
I would encourage anyone to apply to TUI for a job. I think the best advice is to just be yourself and enjoy the experience. Everyone is so friendly and i really enjoyed my interview as i got to meet other applicants who i am still friends with to this day.
