I am currently working within Business Solutions as an admin/PA. Duties involve meeting management, diary management, sharepoint site ownership. General admin tasks using IT packages such as Excel, Visio, Word and Powerpoint.
Learnt new skills such as time management, working to tight deadlines, my organisational skills have improved. Carrying out apprentice projects and being project manager has developed my leadership skills. The NVQ has allowed me to learn and develop along the way.
I have really enjoyed my programme, moving around the business and networking with different people has allowed me to learn and grow. I have had a range of different projects to complete and enjoy working for such a great company.
Very organised, I have had lots of training courses and I had a great induction. We are able to allocate time in our diary to study. We have regular 1:1's with our mentor where we can raise any issues.
We have a great support system around us, line manager, mentor, HR etc. They are always there to help and make time for you in any given situation.
College assessor - constant feedback when submitting units to complete, would always respond to any emails or queries I had. When she came in for observations she would be very supportive.
I learnt a lot through self research as we did not attend college but I believe it was beneficial completing my NVQ as I have developed new skills along the way.
Womans network, Young professionals network etc
