  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Recruiting influencers and maintaining the relationship with them. Sort out collections and look after other locales when they need support. I own the influencer samples process and have imported it over time to be more easier and useful. Always communicating updates to other teams and flag issues if there are any.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I’ve learnt to be more coincident and stand my ground since I’ve had multiple manager changes which have shaped me in different ways and helped me improve my skills. I’m more attentive and a great team player whilst also a being very enthusiastic about the things I do

  • I really enjoyed having sessions with [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] going through the content. He made it a really enjoyable experience and I’m grateful. I did enjoy doing the influencer marketing aspect of my portfolio as that’s where I’m strongest in the field which has helped me show what I do know.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme I did was straightforward and not confusing. Was very easy to follow and enjoy because all sorts of fields within marketing. The content proved to help study was really handy with all the detail that was included made it much easier to understand certain topics clearer which was great!

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I did receive a lot of support from my 2nd and 4th manager as they would push me to do more and let me book an afternoon off to complete my portfolio. The 1st and 3rd manager not very supportive as wouldn’t let me work much on my portfolio and also failed in getting me further experience with other teams when I had asked.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I did receive a lot of support which was great and reassuring that if I needed help I could go to my skills coach. If there was any issues we’d work together on how I can improve it better but of course making sure it was my own words I used.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I guess it showed overtime how much I’ve evolved and improved in my role. I’m now able to apply most of what I learned into my day to day. By doing this qualification it has improved my work balance and made me realise it’s the little things that you do which are important

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not really much to do because of the pandemic but before we went into lockdown I had done the basic first aid training which was great. I learned something new and even got a certificate for it. Through the pandemic I worked on LinkedIn courses and gained certificates by completing them.

  • 9a. Would you recommend The Hut Group Limited to a friend?
  • No

  • 9b. Why?
  • It’s a great company to work for but at the same time it’s not. They overwork you and you aren’t paid for any overtime. Makes you feel bad taking holidays because there’s so much to do.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to The Hut Group Limited?
  • Be cautious of the mentality of people here because they can drain you a lot. Read the glassdoor reviews too. But mostly be careful for your mental health because it will deteriorate with people being awful and there’s a lot of blame culture too. But it is good money though.
