My day to day roles include answering phones and talking with patients. Issuing prescriptions from the phone line and also online. I frank the mail and take this to the post office at the end of the day. I also scan and file documents. I also email scripts to chemists.
I have gained so much confidence since I started working here a few months ago with being on the phones and talking to other surgeries, chemists and patients. I learned how to issue prescriptions and how to keep a kind and positive manner when speaking with patients. I leaned how to properly clean the surgery during lunch time to stop the spread of bacteria.
I love my programmed and am excited to wake up in the morning and come into work. I enjoy working here because everyday brings something new and I never know what is in store for the day. There are challenges around every corner and its fun trying to figure out how I am going to fox these issues.
My programmed is well structured as each day I know what my jobs are going to be and there is never a moment during the day where I do not have anything to do. There is always time given to me where I can go away to a computer and do course work if I need to.
I receive a lot of support from my employer and feel comfortable enough to go to [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] whenever I feel there is a problem. She is a very lovely and understanding woman who makes everyone feel like a part of the team. This makes it more enjoyable coming into work each day as it is a fun and loving environment.
I receive a lot of support and I have been made aware that I cane mail or phone my training provider if I ever have nay issues doing the work. Their replies are fast and super easy to understand. This helps me when it comes to ding the work because their support help me get through he work more confidently.
I believe that the work I receive from my training provider helps me to be a better employee as each piece of work I complete helps me advance my skills which I can bring to my job. From the work I have been given so far it has made me more confident on the computers.
Due to Coronavirus there has bene limited extra curricular activities however there has still be some fun fundraising events in the surgery. Some events including who has the most steps during the month to raise money for charity and also a bake off with all of the employees to also raise money for charity. These type of events helps bring everyone together.
Yes
I would recommend this company to a friend because the support that you receive from the training provider is extremely helpful and make the work easy to understand and complete by the deadlines. The online courses are really enjoyable and fun to participate in as you get to meet many new people.
Always come in to work with a positive and a can do attitude as this will help you get through the day in the most positive way possible. Try and make friends with people from work as this will help you have a better day and will mean you have someone to confide in at work.
