I am employed as an Application Development New Associate whilst undertaking my apprenticeship. This entails being part of a daily meeting with my team were we discuss what actions we will be performing on that given day. Following this meeting I will be set tasks which I will be responsible for. I will then proceed to work on these tasks individually before meeting up periodically throughout the day with my team to ensure I am on track. This also enables others, if necessary, to help/advise/support me to meet my tasks. Likewise it enables me to advise/assist/support my team members as required so as a team we meet the objectives and achieve that specific days actions.
Yes, I have been able to pick up many new skills whilst undertaking this apprenticeship. For my role I have been able to pick up valuable skills in both technology and business. My apprenticeship has encouraged me to build upon skills that I have a particular interest in. I have also had the opportunity to work with colleagues from different work settings were I have been able to draw upon their experiences and knowledge. I have found this most helpful and supportive in developing new skills and expanding my knowledge base.
Thus far I have really enjoyed my apprenticeship program especially as the university I attend is very helpful and supportive with a real appreciation and understanding that I am also working full time during the week. Likewise my work also takes into account and is supportive of the fact I am at university one day of the week. This is a great working/studying balance for me as I have never felt overwhelmed with having to meet competing work and university deadlines. I have found both my employer and university to be always willing to help and support as best they can.
I believe the programme is well structured and organised. I feel that I have a good work/ university balance. I am also grateful to my project work team who are very supportive and enable me to work within the programme. Equally, if I am struggling with a class the university lecturers are always happy to help solve my problems pr dilemmas I may have. Likewise at work if there is a topic I am struggling with my work place is happy to find an expert in that field to help answer any of my questions.
Overall my support from my employer is excellent. My manager is always checking in with me to ensure I am ok and if there is anything they can do to improve my apprenticeship experience. I also have a company mentor who is great for providing guidance on where I would like to take my career. Overall I feel the company goes above and beyond to support me through my apprenticeship experience.
Overall my training provider is excellent in helping me achieve my qualifications. They are always quick to respond to any emails that I send them. They are also great at listening to feedback and are always willing to change and adapt to support the needs of their students. I would highly recommend using this provider for a degree apprenticeship course.
Yes, the skills I have learned through my training provider has really benefitted my performance in my work role. The classes are well structured and match exactly what I am currently doing in my role. From my training provider I feel that I now know more about my industry which is great for helping me complete my qualification and also improve my skill base in the work place.
Yes, my company offers loads of extra-curricular activities to get involved in. I have been grateful to attend some charity events, social events (Christmas Party, Company/ Client dinners). The office also holds an event every Thursday at the start of the month for a chance for new people to meet and find out any new/interesting developments. Depending on your interest there are loads of different clubs that you can join e.g. book club, eco club, hackerathons to develop your coding skills and various game clubs. My company also hosts a number of topical presentations throughout the year.

This apprenticeship offers loads of options. You can really tailor this apprenticeship to any career that you would like and/or are interested in doing. This company is a very welcoming company and a great place to work. The training provider for this apprenticeship is equally as amazing and are always there to help you achieve your goal and help you succeed.
Just be yourself. Accenture is always looking for new people to join our team to help us come up with new ideas on how we can best expand and grow. The assessment process is to provide you with a forum to put your best self forward. It is not there to trip you up rather it is for you to promote you and who knows, like me, you might actually have fun. The employees are very welcoming at Accenture so if you have any questions throughout the process they will be more than willing to assist and provide you with any answers you may have. Good luck.
