Supporting role of the home manager assisting with staffing, payroll and HR queries. I deal mostly with the rota of all staff that work within the building and holidays ensuring we have cover dependant on the needs of the home. My apprenticeship is supporting me to grow into my role an earn more on what my role should entails aspiration training are supporting me through my qualification and every aspect of my nvq work.
Yes I have learned to develop my current skills in leadership and management of a team. I am now able to hold meeting confidentially and support others within any aspect of my role. I’m also able to manage my role and any other jobs such as rotas and confidently deal with any queries or issues.
I enjoy learning new things on my programme sometimes I find it difficult to sit down and find the time to get some work don’t or do some research but I do enjoy learning more about my leadership and management role and developing my skills further to enable me to take on a bigger role in the future,
Very well structured I can log into smart assessor to view what units I am working on. I can also speak to my assessor at any time to ask for assistance. Uploading work is very simple I can upload on my own and then check back a few days later to see if I need to add anything to this work.
My employer is vey supportive. They have been very open and allowed me to complete this course to work with my new role. The are also around to ask questions when needed on the work based united I need to work through, my manager is great and always listens and supports me.
Aspiration training are always there if I need them, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] will arrange meeting with me so we can have a catch up and run through any work I need to complete this also give me opportunity to ask any questions around units if needed. She is always at the end of the phone if we do not have an appointment also.
I feel I have learnt lots of different skills I can use in my role from my course. I learn different theories which I can apply to my role with working with different people and how people learn and work differently and this is very useful to know to apply to my role
We do have some team members that arrange evenings out or teams together but we don’t overly have a lot of extra curricular activities within my work. As a management team we do go out together for meals etc just to relax but other than that no other activities no.
Yes
Aspiration are very thorough, we also use them for staff members who want to develop themselves. They assess the persons need to be able to complete the course and if the role they are in enables them to work towards this also, they work well with the management team and are all very polite and great to work with
Make sure you have a lot of spare time to work through your nvq I feel that through covid it’s put massive pressures on me working late hours then feeling like I have to go home and complete nvq is massively time consuming just to complete 1 unit
