We operate in placements ranging from 4 weeks to six months in all aspects of the business.
Lots of new skills, the main version being the development of my confidence. I have experienced managing teams of up to 20 people.
Very much. The balance between work and uni is manageable.
Very well. We have uni twice ever two weeks on Thursday and Friday. We also get a study day per assignment.
We have designated mentors in work and at uni. There is also a learning co or donator who is like your ‘work mum’
Lots of help is provided having weekly and monthly review meetings to check progress and discuss areas to improve
100% this qualification will be so valuable but not as valuable as the experience I will get on the job
Yes there are lots of social events at uni and work. Work provide a DCO residential week once a year where you go to Wales and have an activities week with other apprentices.
Yes
It is brilliant and the people there couldn’t be more helpful. It is also great to see the progression of past apprentices into great jobs which gives you hope for the future.
