I have 27 learners completing a Level 3 Ta Standard and I meet with them once a month to deliver the programme and guide them through their qualification. I also go into their workplace to observer them and communicate with managers. I help them to pass their qualification at End Point Assessment.
Yes I have learned about the contents of the TA Standard and what the learners need to evidence in order to pass. I have also learnt to work with adults after working for so long teaching children. I have learnt technical skills like using Teams and the e-portfolio Smart Assessor.
I love the TA Standard! It is easy to get to grips with and relevant to the actual practical role. I enjoy going into schools and seeing my learners in the classroom, putting their new learned skills into practice. I enjoy preparing them for their End Point Assessment towards the end.
Although the programme lengths differ according to hours worked, it is obvious what the content is and what needs to be done by a certain time frame. They have a flow chart which explain this to them. It is nice that learners can choose which order to go in too.
I have a lovely line-manager who is always there to support and offer advice when needed. There is a vast amount of training from other members of staff and we are asked if we want to deliver training ourselves. The team in general are also very helpful whenever I ask questions.
As mentioned previously, there is regular training for staff by LMP. We are asked if there is anything we need on a regular basis, and we are also put in touch with technical teams e.g. Smart Assessor or SVLE support. All managers at LMP are approachable and available when needed.
My managers network meetings have only just started but I am pleased to be asked to attend them for my own professional development. I can't comment much on them because I have only just started, however I feel that they recognised that this would be a benefit to me in the future so I am pleased and believe this will help me better myself in the role.
It is difficult with Covid but LMP have an away day every year in August for staff. They also have regular socials online and during the pandemic, they had quizzes. In my particular role we don't social network, however I know the sales teams do this online, over the phone and face to face.
Yes
It is an enjoyable role and I feel supported by my line manager and the company as a whole. They allow me to grow and develop with training and support me when I need help. I like the trust they have in me and the flexibility of the job. LMP are understanding towards families and their own responsibilities at home.
LMP is a company which feels like a family so you need to be part of that. Understand their core values and research about how the company started because that is interesting. You need to want to be part of a team but also enjoy working remotely as well because this role is part face to face, part working from home, .
