  • the programme has the best intentions however due to the size of openreach there are failings within the companies organisation, only propped up by those at the lowest levels

  • the support is there if required although is often put on those not organising the apprenticeship or off your own back

  • there are systems in place however due to the amount of apprentices has many shortcomings

  • the apprenticeship covers majority of job role but the is predominantly through the buddying periods than the classroom

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • although has many problems is a good place to work, however it is important to note due to the size of the company the engineers interest isnt always the priority for example the removal of possibility to get any external qualification from the apprenticeship and replacement of internal accreditations and the importance of budgets / cost


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT Group?
  • try to get onto fibre not copper or service delivery, and although they layout a plan for you and tell you the right things initiative is the only way too succeed
