Brilliant experience overall- lots of exposure to life at BDO with many opportunities for networking and learning. Their staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly!
Their seminars helped with learning about audit, building your personal brand and knowing your strengths and weaknesses.
I really enjoyed it, even though it was all online, they made sure to keep a similar level of personal connection as we would have enjoyed pre covid. They assigned us buddies, had lunchtimes with trainees and had opportunities to network with other candidates.
Overall, they stuck to their schedule that they had provided the week before, with multiple people on hand to help with technical issues or general support. However, no one showed up for my interview so it had to be rescheduled.
Company culture was one of the main things we learnt about as we had so much exposure to so many different people at the firm from different positions with different experiences.
They had around five hours throughout the week of audit training, so it was a useful insight into the audit sector to ensure that’s what we wanted to do.
No.
Lots, many different time periods set aside for calls with employees, trainers and other candidates, both one on one and in groups.
Yes
It gave me so much exposure to audit and life at BDO that it’s very helpful in deciding which career path you’d like to do.
Research the company and the services they provide, the interview questions are largely based on that.
