My role as a digital marketer includes making compelling content for the websites social media accounts, mine being twitter. We also work on a lot of work sent over from different sectors of the company, this could include levi guides, breaflets or any material like that. We also do our off the job stuff.
Yes ive got much better using canva which is the website that we use to make content, I fully understand the site now and could teach someone else if required, I also have got much better using photoshop as some of my tasks require me to use that so I'm much more experienced.
I really enjoy it, we have a really good team put together that is supportive and very talented and we have clear communication which helps everyone. i also enjoy the fact I have freedom in the content I make and feel like I can be creative when making pieces of work.
There is a clear outline off my working day and the expectations I have, its also known to me how much time I should take out for my training. we have regular meetings and have watched presentations letting me understand the company more, the work is well organised and set out fairly.
My Manager is very supportive and very fast to get back to me when a problem arises, I have support from the people working closely to me and the managers from other sectors have made me feel welcomed and apart off the team. the general attitude is good and I get support from my tutor.
My tutor works hard to make sure i understand my tasks so that I can go off fully understanding the task and complete it too a good standard, he's very quick to get back in contact and if I'm struggling he will work harder to make sure I do it.
I feel like the skills i have learnt from my training provider have helped me in the workplace on a day to day basis and I feel like I also know more about my role from the stuff I am learning, I feel better doing the work now I have the training.
There are regular company events that we can go to where we will meet the rest of the team and can do social activities to know everyone better, there is a book club that takes place every month and might be more starting now covid is starting to disappear now.
Yes
It is a really supportive and well built company, the people at the top know what there doing but are also down to earth and supportive of the apprentices and trainees. the work is very rewarding and makes you feel good when you have done good work, there is a good team bond as well.
i would say to just be honest with the knowledge you have as even if your not experienced at a role your get the support you need for it and be confident in your ability at whatever your doing. i would also say to expect going to the office every now and then if your role is based from home.
