  • 7. Were you paid or reimbursed for this experience?
  • No, I wanted to do this to give me more experience and gain a wider understanding of what the world of business involves and how I could prioritise this in working out what career I wanted after school. Even though I wasn't paid the experience was worth it to gain the understanding of BDO and the apprenticeship schemes.

  • 8. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?
  • Yes, we met some of the other apprentices which was good because we could speak to other people in the same position as me. We also got involved in a question and answer session which meant we could ask questions which were not covered throughout the event. This helped us to gain more insight.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The values of the business are really good and the opportunity for growth is endless. The possibilities provided are amazing and there is something for everyone. The qualifications provided are also really good and act as a spring board to get the apprentice the roles that want to achieve and do.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BDO?
  • Try your hardest and believe that you can do this. The process is length and requires you to complete tasks which may seem hard of scary but the application is worth it and the outcome of the job offer and the apprenticeship is amazing and worth the effort of applying.
