client interaction, teamwork, writing emails, professional presentation of documents, remote working
I found the work tedious and missed out on the benefits of face-to-face interaction and socials with my colleagues. Sometimes I felt neglected and lacked support from managers
Lacked structure, spent long periods of time without work and expected to complete self-led training. Even on projects, managers didn't always utilise my time very well.
Varies. Some managers were supportive and looked over my work, whereas others would not respond to my messages for long periods of time

More would have been available if I had the opportunity to go to the office in person. Virtually, I got involved in volunteering with students

Quality of placement experience is heavily dependent upon the projects you are assigned and your teammates. I found the work boring and my managers weren't always supportive. Work-life balance isn't always good either, you can be expected to work late evenings at times.
Choose very carefully the department you apply for and decide if this is what you actually want to do in future.
