During the work experience, I got to learn about the life of trainee solicitors and different aspects of law through panels and presentations, while also being able to participate myself such as by reviewing contracts and leases, arguing a mock legal case and writing up some legislation by myself.
I developed my skills in terms of analysing legal documents in detail, as well as my legal writing through tasks which involved writing legislation and reviewing contracts/leases by myself.
I enjoyed it a lot! I found the mixture of interactive tasks and informative presentations to be very well-balanced.
Pretty well-organised: although there were some tech issues here and there the schedule was always very clear and most events started relatively promptly. (within 5 mins of advertised time).
Being able to talk directly with supervisors, as well as the various presentations on the company culture, really helped give a clear picture of the inner environment of Pinsent Masons was like.
It was quite helpful! I always thought I was more interested in being a barrister but being able to talk to solicitors and doing tasks solicitors would do made me realise that I would also find a career being a solicitor satisfying.
No.
Yes - there was a lunch specifically for networking, as well as a group chat that made it accessible to talk to others.
Yes
It was a fun work experience with a company that doesn't seem to be as unapproachable or detached from the work experience students as other companies I've done work experience with.
Just go for it - the process is quite lengthy but worth it in my opinion.
