Speakers and organisers were very helpful and informative. there were some great sessions delivered which helped to give students a greater insight into how a law firm operates and the different routes which are able to be taken to qualify as a solicitor in both england and Northern Ireland. a great experience all round.
as students we were given seminars on commercial law, contract law, copyrighting and patents. we were also taught more about the type of firm that pinsent masons is and the types of values and qualities that they promote and admire. There was also a great session o CV, and interview tips
I would highly recommend this work experience as it was really enjoyable due to the welcoming and insightful speakers, trainees and organisers. the four days flew by and i will definately be looking out to apply for more work experiece and vaccatio n schemes which are provided by the firm
the work experience was very well organised and we were provided very engaging seminars and tasks which made the legal world seem like a highly rewarding sector to work in. apart from a few slip ups with links to the meetings it was great!
the company culture overall seemed very supportive and encouraging, the atmosphere which was created by the organisers was hugely welcoming and made everyone feel at ease and willing to take part in all of the actiities which were provided. I could definately see myself fitting in at the pinsent Masons firm.
the work experience did give me an insight into the role that i might be taking up in the legal industry. there was a lot of guidance about how to go abot getting into the legal industry. the mentors and managers were aso great and the employees were very supportive.
no we were not paid for this work experience, however this will look great on personal statements , CV and will be great to talk about during interviews for universitiies and futre jobs. i wold recommend this to anyne wo wants a career in law or is considering ding law at univerity
there was a networking lunch which was provided by the firm Pinsent Masons in which we were able to meet other students and get to know those that were also considering applying to do law. it was a great way to make conncections in the industry which will hopwfullly help in the futre

this was a great programme to do and i would recommend ot to anyone that is considering a career in law. the team delivered some great sessions and it gave students a genuine insight into what life would be like as a lawyer at the firm by giving us genuine tasks to work on.
for students applying to pinsent masons, i would recommend taking your time on your application and really thinking about how you ca present the best version o yourself to the team. the scheme is so helpful and informaitive s i would really recommend working hard on your application to ensure you get a spot. Dont be afraid to show off!
