We were able to listen to a lot of presentations from various legal practices. We completed legal tasks like doing a statutory drafts and understanding a lease report. We spoke to a lot of solicitors and trainees to understand their journeys and looked at the inclusivity of the firm.
I developed skills of being cautious when reading legal documents and using a fine eye to seek mistakes or loopholes in the agreement. I also developed skills of formulating a solid argument and being able to argue for both sides of a case.
I really am grateful for this fun and engaging experience.
Very well organised - everything fit nicely into a schedule we could access beforehand to make sure we always knew what was coming up next.
We learnt so much about the role of the firm and what they wanted to achieve in terms of ESG and inclusion and diversity.
It made me so much more interested in going into a career path in law.
