Participating in debates and presenting back to the group, and doing some individual work such as drafting. As well as listening to employability sessions from senior members and apprentices.
Team work and communication skills, when discussing the task in groups. Drafting and analytical skills when looking at documents and identifying the error and making necessary ammendments.
All in all overall it was good. Most sessions I did enjoy as they were interactive and engaging, some however, were not for me as I did not find them interesting, but that is only my opinion
Very well organised the forage platform was super easy to use and the introductory videos made it so easy to use. I experienced no difficulties logging on to the platform and had no issues through the week.
I did not learn a lot about the company culture, the values of the firm were not stressed. I did get a good feel of what it would be like to work there as many talked about their routes into the firm and how they began a career in law, but this was not specific to the firm.
If anything I feel I have made the right decision that law is not for me, although I enjoyed some tasks and enjoyed certain aspects e.g risk analysis section, some sessions were not interesting enough for me to want to read more about it etc.
No, it was work experience
Yes, there was a networking session at lunch, which was nice and there were smaller group discussions to participate in.
Yes
Good insight into law if you want to study it, but the programme is based that you should have some basic law knowledge, to feel that you understand everything properly.
Read up on their values, and align them to yourself
