I really loved how interactive the week was compared maybe to some other ones I had done, where it consisted mainly of just sitting and listening. I liked learning about the different case studies and real life examples and also being able to implement these into the independent tasks such as the lease report.
I gained confidence and confirmation about my interest in law and even further developed my teamwork and sharing ideas skills as part of a team, for example during the jaffa cake debate. Furthermore, I gained invaluable insight into what lawyers do in their job and really realised how interesting restructuring and insolvency was. Thank you for this experience!
I really enjoyed my work experience from start to end. There was a variety of resources and sessions that really managed to cover all aspects of law that I was curious or wondering about. They also explained difficult legal concepts well and gave insight into technical skills like drafting and lease report which I loved doing.
Very organised! The sessions were well organised, timed, and made accessible and clear how and when to access different sessions. One thing I did get kind of worried about is how the start of most of the sessions were a wee bit delayed, even by 3-8 minutes, which sometimes worried me.
I love the kind of culture Pinsent Masons seems to have. Everyone seems friendly and welcoming and my supervisors did a great job answering all the questions that my fellow students and I had. I could definitely see myself fitting in and loving the work that went on at this firm!
This really confirmed my interest in law. I've just handed in my early deadline UCAS application for law for multiple universities so this was a great experience in confirming that I really was interested in this area and that I had made a good decision in pursuing law at uni.
