I currently work as a TA in a school for Autism. Working alongside the children, helping them out with daily activities and classwork.
I have learnt alot since starting my course. How to deal with different aspects of education and working with Autistic children.
I really enjoy the programme I am working on. My tutor [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is a massive help and has really encouraged me throughout the course.
The structure of the programme is organised very well. When I first started I was shown how to use the dashboard and scarlet explained the structure of the course to me.
If I am honest not a huge amount. I am having to do my work outside of school hours. I have a great mentor who I work with on a daily basis but it is just difficult to get the work finished on time.
I have had massive support from [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] has been so helpful and nothing is a problem. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is very encouraging and if I have difficulty understanding anything [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is always there to help any and she explains things so well.
I feel that since starting the course I have learnt a lot more about my role and how to work with the students. It has made me think a lot more about my role and how to work well with students and others.
We have an enrichment programme where the students do extra-curricular activities such as paddle boarding, swimming, rock climbing etc which I help out with. We also run a holiday club, I am part of the extended services team so I help out with this also.
Yes
They are efficiently run and extremely helpful and the courses they offer are fantastic.
Go for it. They are great to work with and full of help and advice. I am continuing onto another course after I have finished this one and looking forward to it.
