  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves taking care of children and providing them with an experience to pick up the best education possible. On a day to day basis we follow a routine, ensuring the children are always put first within this. We run breakfast and after school clubs, from ages 1-5 x

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I have learnt new skills including how to be patient and also take care of myself. Giving time for myself and friends and keeping work life seperate, to maintain a happier life. I have also learnt how to adapt to different childrens ways and understand why they act how they do

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme as I learn new things every time and constantly feel as though I am making progress, my tutor is amazing and I am being guided through my apprenticeship by the best people. This programme helps me progress more swiftly and I couldn’t reccomend it more

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is structured to include a webinar once a month to guide me through the work set that month, as well as a professional discussion on the webinars that month. I am left with a month to do work before moving on to the next stage and also complete off the job

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a good amount of support from my employer, including in meetings if there is something I am not sure if then they will help me without a doubt. The support I receive helps me become able to be more guided through the work I do for the apprenticeship

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I Receive an amazing amount of support to work towards my qualifications as the genuinely want me to achieve it so help me whenever help is needed with any of my work and also ask lots of questions in webinars to ensure that I am always clear and understanding

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that my training provider helps me perform better in my role as I am significantly achieving due to help and support from my provider by providing webinars and tutors to help me achieve my qualification if I need anything I can message my tutor innertween meetings

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there are after school clubs where we do different activities with the children and also do homework with them make tea and do different activities to help them but apart from that there is breakfast club where we make breakfast and look after the children while parents go to work

  • 9a. Would you recommend Oakhill Day nursery to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend realise training to my friends as it is helping me achieve the qualification I want as well as learning on the job. Which helps me understand more as I am working with it in my day to day life and also doing tests on the things I learn


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Oakhill Day nursery?
  • I wouldn’t give any tips or advice as it is amazing the service is amazing and people are aware there to help you with work or understand things that you are not really too sure on making sure you don’t have to worry about any sort of work
