A general day is coming into work and tidying the showroom making sure all displays, samples and desks are set up for the day. I then read and reply to emails, answer phone calls, sort and issues and talk to customers regarding products. I also take leads for the designers, putting their information into the system and taking bookings.
I have definitely learnt a lot from this course, especially in terms of the customer journey, cad and product knowledge. Before I did not know too much regarding the customer journey so this was very interesting. I knew nothing about designing and using the CAD software so this was great and I am looking forward to the advanced cad session.
I enjoy learning and gaining more knowledge and experience in all areas of my job, its always a good feeling when I can answer customer questions confidently and correctly. I also enjoy the design aspect of it on CAD and enjoy giving great customer service and a great customer experience.
I really like how each module is split up and categorised. Each month their is a new topic, new webinars and deadlines to attend and meet which I feel is really good for the structure. Also this is all planned well in advanced so I know what is coming up and can stay on top of it.
I receive really good support, my apprenticeship coach is always a email away and is very helpful and understanding. I feel like my work colleagues and management team could support a bit better but there is a lot going on in our store so it is very busy sometimes, however they are great help if I have any questions.
My training provider is great, very well organised and always there if I have any questions. She also does the webinar lessons which are very informative and answers any questions that I have. Also helps me with great advice, tips and feedback. Very supportive and a awesome and lovely lady. My product knowledge has massively improved due to learning from the course, especially when attending specific lessons on different brands and products. Also this has helped my confidence when approaching customers as I know that I can answer their questions and if I cant then I can learn from that for the future.
Not really, apart from the christmas party or the occasional leaving do. My mentor however has invited me to the festival for apprentices in February which sounds interesting!
Yes
I really enjoy my job, I feel if someone is interested and generally cares about customers, their experience and developing themselves then this is a great job to get involved in and progress as a career.
Go for it, get involved and learn as much as you can about the products. Be confident and friendly to customers. Just try to do your best!
