  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role was to learn the processes involved with the specific audit I was allocated and help my audit team with the workload in anyway I could.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many new skills, mainly how to use the company specific processes and software. I have learnt many new fundamental skills surrounding audit and also added to my prior knowledge.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoy my placement, I have met great like minded people who are always willing to help you learn and achieve. The office I was placed in I loved, it had a great atmosphere and the facilities were great.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well structured as it is part of my university degree and is integrated into my university semesters. PwC make a great effort to welcome us and they made the placement very smooth running - providing us with all we needed and the whole process was very clear.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I received loads of support from my employer, I had weekly wellbeing calls, work support through a career coach and buddy and being placed in an experienced team willing to help me. We were always reassured that there were people to help us if we needed it.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • As my qualifications are linked with my university degree and university exams I receive all my teaching materials and majority of the learning materials taught to me by the University of Nottingham.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I learnt most of what I needed to learn and how to work effectively within the office once being placed in the office and learning from my employers and fellow employees. I have gained a huge amount of knowledge throughout my placement and put all of that into practice daily.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes throughout my placement there were many social events to attend both in person and virtually. My team also had weekly calls to have a catch up away from work and play games. There were always multiple virtual events a week to get involved in regarding current social topics.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • My placement with PwC has been great and I have enjoyed it start to finish. I felt supported throughout and feel I have benefitted hugely from having my placements with PwC.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • The application process is lengthy with many rounds but it is so worth it! Even if you do not get the place, the experience you will gain from the interviews and assessment days etc is so valuable. Just be yourself and throw yourself into the process.
