Promoting independence to the individuals I support to help them lead an independent healthy lifestyle. Assist with domestic, food preparation, shopping, healthcare appointments, socialising, administration of bills/appointments.
Yes I have been able to learn new skills whilst doing my apprenticeship aswell as increase my knowledge of old skills.
I have really enjoyed my apprenticeship and hope it guides me to a better career in the future.
The program is really organised and my tutor Jo Pope is extremely professional whilst also showing a personal approach to her position. She always puts me at ease and takes pride in what she does.
I receive minimal support from my employer. Up until recently when my manager was asked to clarify my abilities when working along side me.
Jo is available whenever I need to ask questions about the program. She will respond as soon as she is able.
I believe that the qualification has helped me take more pride in my job and understanding the more technical terms behind situations has helped me learn more.
