my role is to early years educator and i am responsible for looking after children of ages 6 months to 5 years old in a nursery ensuring a child centured approach and safe environment. My day to day is spending most time with the children to develop their development with the activities set in each rooms, setting up lunch and snack time, feeding and changing nappies.
I have developed more awareness and have expanded more self thinking when observing the children during play/ an activity. I have learnt many skills in the apprenticeship webinar training sessions and have really benefited from the experience. for example, i am so much more confident walking in and getting on with my role and preparing food. I have further developed changing nappies and clothing.
I love working with children and being on this apprenticeship has made me know what i want to do and the age group i enjoy most as i have been given the opportunity to work with different ages. I have learnt in more depth in this course/ programme and has been best suited for me.
It is very well organised my meetings are all scheduled and discussed in advance, we were given an introduction, we also have regular professional discussions which is beneficial for our trainer to see our progress, tell us our strengths and weaknesses and general feedback. overall the programme is structured very well.
I receive the best support from my employer and all staff have been so nice and i can always come to them for advice, concerns and help on my apprenticeship course work .
i honestly receive good support from my training provider through meetings and general feedback on one file all the time which for me is so helpful.
Through our scheduled webinar meetings each topic such as observations, children with SEN/D and safeguarding has all helped me in my practice in the nursery and with the children and have become way more confident.
There are no extra actvities
Yes
