My daily role includes supporting my team with our project, keeping the product owner updated. It also includes working alongside the scrum master to make sure we complete our sprint goals. Our sprints usually last 2 weeks and follows a retrospective to discuss what went well and what needs improving.
I have learned a lot of new skills, how to deal with databases and run SQL queries understanding the importance of it and how it makes our role easier. I've also learnt a new programming language which I use everyday to complete the story assigned to me and the team.
I really enjoy the program as not only do I feel like I'm learning something new every single day but from a social aspect, everyone is very engaging and from that I feel like I pick things up naturally by having fun and learning with others on how something can impact us.
Our program has been structured very well not just by the company, but the training provider themselves who have split the year up in regards to the module we will be leaning alongside the different ksb's we need to withhold in order to achieve the goals of that module.
I currently haven't experienced any issues so far however i know my employee will be there to support me through anything I need due to them constantly checking up on us, such as weekly catch ups and catch ups we have with other apprentices within the company to see how they're also doing.
Our training provider supports us by having regular check up points with the tutor and manager. Also when we learn something new in a module, our lecturer gives us tasks to do to see where our weaknesses our. This helps not only them but also aids us to see we're we need support.
Our company resolves around the agile methodology. In one of our modules we learn in depth the different types of methodologies featuring their strengths and weaknesses. This has proven to be really beneficial and something I can bring back to work as I feel as if I understand the structure of the organisation in more detail.
Our work has many extra curricular for us to take part in, one being a snooker table for us to gather around and play with colleges. Our early careers team also helps us keep busy by keeping us in touch with apprentices from the whole business and joining up to do activities.
Yes
I would definitely recommend Experian to a friend due to the bubbly atmosphere. Being in experian offers so much more than a job keeping you entertained and on your toes. They're a flexible organisation and help to work to suit your needs. They also have colleagues who are ready to assist you in difficulty.
Advice that I would want to offer to people who are applying for experian is to be yourself. Honesty is the best policy. They don't want to see how much you know or how smart you are, rather what you can bring to the organisation that makes you stand out from the rest.
