  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Assembling, cutting preparing metal in a workshop. We get given training and work instructions and then get on with the work that we were set. We have one day a week in a classroom for our city and guilds qualifications.

  • Been trained on a variety of different equipment and machines within the workshop. Welding and oxy-fuel cutting are some of the new skills I have achieved.

  • I really enjoy learning everyday, completing tasks and working with my hands.

  • Very well structured for everyone to have the best experience and learn a lot.

  • We are told to use our own initiative but when support is needed we receive it.

  • We get supported throughout, to gain the best qualifications.
