Supply Chain apprentice- rotate around the supply chain on secondments. I'm currently working in programs looking into the cost of our products to see where we can reduce our costs. The customer wants us to get cost out so when we negotiate price again it will be cheaper for them too.
building relationships, personalities and culture, how to communicate, adopting change and how to do it properly.
the programme has given me good experience within the supply chain, helping me personally understand how the Finances work and analyse data.
I feel very valued, my manager involves me in most projects as he wants to use my expertise in costing and analysing data.
My programme is very structured. The rotations are structured and now the programme has been running for a while, managers are aware of what level of responsibility we can hold and how we can benefit them.
We have a lecturer that comes onto site to give us help support and guidance on our assignments and anything that is personally going on at work.
HR team are always there to talk to. My line manager is there to talk to and give advice as he is also my mentor and understands my strengths and areas of developments. The apprentice leader is always there to help if we have issues or need answers.
My salary is very good and I am able to pay all of my bills each month with most of it put into savings. Plus still having a social life.
We have many events; especially fitness or sports events. Also, the graduates and apprentices get together all of the time and do activities together or go out.

Brilliant company. Lots of opportunities and benefits- lifestyle account, pension, ability to be promoted or relocated/travel etc. The pay is really good as an apprentice.
Understand what GE does as an overall but understand what each site does depending on where you apply.
