Day to day duties at my job consist of fixing heavy good vehicles for customers and maaintaining service records upto vosa standards aswell as ensuring all house keeping tasks are completed which consist of cleaning up every morning. Another aspect of my day to day duties is ensuring the workshop is covid free
I have learned loads at my job, especially within the first 18 months of the job due to having a great and supportive mentor to which motus removed and my skill developing lowered dramatically. I still feel I develop just not as well as what I was initially at motus
I personally don't enjoy my program. I absolutely love fixing trucks but the support from my employer and training provider is absolutely shocking in terms of frequent visits and most recently mental health issues I have had. But other than that I love fixing trucks just not at motus
Program is well structured, we know what is expected and we have a layout for college which is good, unfortunately due to covid this has been all over the place which is understandable especially considering there was a period various apprentices were furloughed during covid 2020. Good structure I just wish it was easier
In regards to technical support from mechanis its A+. In terms of support from management and further development is pretty poor for a such a large company in my opinion. Unfortunately I have had personal issues protrude my work ethics and I didn't receive much care from the employer
Very little support from training provider however this was due to covid 19, recently the support has picked back up mainly being the manager of the course and programme [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]. He really helped me pick myself up and reapply myself to the work which is set at motus and Bristol
In my opinion the qualification is just there to say 'hey I'm a qualified mechanic' anything I've learned I've learned at the workshop and not college, the level 3 is there to make you more employable to other employers when you decide to leave which is my opinion
There are absolutely not extra actives within my workplace or college
No
Lack of support from management and overall and awful company to be within in my opinion, there so much better out there which I know of and have been offered positions when I time out. Its unfortunate but that's just the way of it within motus commercials bellshill especially
don't!
