I mainly help out with what ever is needed. I do some tidying up and emptying bin. I work on trucks and help other with work they are doing on truck or if they need a hand lifting or holding parts. I some times go and pick up parts or drop them off
I've learnt how to use diagnostic equipment and how to find faulty parts. I've developed my hand eye coordination by using hand tools as well as nuts and bolts. I've also developed my communication skill as well as I've to to explain what I have found wrong with a truck
For the most part I enjoy the programme as it is hands on. Then the college is only 2 week block and gives you understand of how a truck and parts work. The part I don't like is that you are often given the [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] jobs that need to be done
The programme is organised well as they let use know when we are in college which is usually for 2 weeks every 3 months and when we will be getting a vist from college liaison that tells use what we needed to do to pass and keep track of our progress
The employer try to help as much as possible. One way was they will try and get you doing jobs that you need to get evidence for.
They give us all the resources need and give you someone to talk to if needed
It teaches me how parts work and how the truck work giving me a better understanding of the truck and hope to find and fix faults
I'm not to sure about extra-curricular but the and lot of in home activities to get involved in most to do with charity
