My job involves working on automation products and designing new experiences. This involves visual design such as designing landing pages as well as user experience design too.
I have developed and learnt many new skills on the job which are specific to design and have helped me to understand my role better and have had many opportunities to apply these skills.
I really enjoy my programme as I get such a range of experience and new opportunities. Everyone on my team is very supportive.
My university sprints are well structured and provide guidance and opportunities to apply the knowledge through assignments.
I receive lots of support from IBM. My team is always happy to help me as well as my managers.
I receive good support from my university as they are always available to email and ask questions.
I am able to learn the knowledge I need to then apply to my role
There are many communities to get involved in at IBM as well as leadership roles within these. I get involved in lots of givebacks due to it being so easy to get involved in. For example, I'm helping to run events for National Apprenticeship Week.

It's a really friendly place to work at and everyone makes you feel very welcome from the start. There is a growth mindset in place which offers new opportunities.
Always be yourself as you don't need to know everything from the start. They check to see if you as a person would fit with IBM culture as everything else such as skills can be taught.
