In my current role I oversee the day to day operations of each sprint to release new content for our client's digital transformation roadmap. This involves keeping up to date with devops teams and client stakeholders, ensuring everything is on track
Learnt a lot of technical knowledge which has allowed me to have high-level discussions with senior architects. I have also picked up basic testing and coding skills in my role.
It is very enjoyable, on the programme I have learnt a lot of knowledge that I will carry with me for a lifetime. It has been able to set me up for a great future career path
Very well organised As the programmed is hosted by IBM and no external provider there is a high level of care for all individuals and all foundation managers who help you throughout your time on the programme are amazing
Through the dedicated foundation channels and communities, there is a lot of support provided to all apprentices. The IBM network is extremely supportive and always on hand to help
Very helpful with keeping individuals on track with each aspect of the apprenticeship scheme to ensure that we are not missing any deadlines
Although the qualification isn't something that is globally known, there are now management consulting qualifications that have been introduced and I believe this level 4 qualification forms a basis/exemption if you were to go for the Chartered Management Consultant qualification when you meet that criteria
Prior to the pandemic, there were a lot of in-person activities and clubs to join and even trips away as a company to play these sports against other companies. Now with everything being virtual, there are obviously fewer physical activities happening but there are still a lot of social activities that happen and multiple networking and learning events that still take place.
Yes
IBM have been very supportive of my progression and there are a whole host of different opportunities to get involved in.
Do a lot of research into the company and where they are heading (future roadmap). throughout the application process, just make sure to be yourself and relax. It's always good to ask questions if you are unsure about something, IBM encourage it
