My Day starts with a short daily meeting so that everyone is aware of the progress. We will then work on whatever it is that come sup in the meeting, prioritising by the importance. We work closely with the client (actually on client site) as well as alongside contractors such as the cloud provider. Its always different everyday with something new coming up and meeting new people all the time.
Both. The first thing we did to start the course was ALE (Accelerated Learning Environment). This put us through 3 months of training so that we all developed new skills as well as learning new ones. Not only technical skills but team work and leadership skills.
I am loving my program. We spend most of our time working which teaches us more than any of the apprenticeship training can. This makes it easier to complete the qualifications.
I feel well valued by Capgemini. I know that there is a lot of support for me both in work and the apprenticeship. This makes me feel safe that they understand my situation and are willing to adapt if needs be.
The program is well structured. We meet with our assessor on a 1 to 1 meeting around every 5 - 6 weeks which keeps progress steady. The assessors understand we work full time and so accommodate for this in the workload put on us.
The support is there if we need it. We can email or phone our assessor at any time with any queries we have. We also meet at least every 5-6 weeks making progress good and constant.
Capgemini fully understand my situation with the apprenticeship work as well as a full time job. They adapt for this as necessary and are willy for study days and other extra time for study if it is needed.
All the travel costs and incidental expenses are covered when working away from home so there is nothing to pay out of my own pocket. The salary itself is generous so that I can live comfortably and still have some fun.
The company provide discounts on numerous companies so getting involved in anything becomes a lot easier. Also, most projects will have a social event and often a congratulations towards the end where everyone can go out for a meal and a drink. A chance to relax and have fun with your colleges.
Yes
Capgemini is a great company that really cares for its employees and is genuinely interested in keeping them happy.
Just be confident within yourself. There is no magic trick when it comes to applications and interviews, just be happy and confident in yourself.
