As I'm a training Navel Arc, at the moment I'm on my second placement within Babcock and following my mentors day to day activities in the dockyard. This involves a variety of tasks that advance my knowledge and experience in an engineering environment. also I am at college one day a week.
getting good engineering experience, problem-solving, teamwork, dockyard knowledge/working environment.
very much as I getting qualifications and also getting good engineering experience,
pretty well organized but could be improved on in communication as often we feel that we are not given enough communication and enough information about the apprenticeship to begin with when joining.
we receive a great amount of support as if we need anything or do not know something they are more than willing to help us and try to support us.
we received a great number of qualifications from this apprenticeship which we can take onto degree if we wish to do so.
It helps us to understand the theory behind a lot of what we do at Babcock as we do a lot of practical stuff at work and college learning help us to reinforce that with theroy
plenty of activities to get involved with
