I work with all of our graduates, apprentices and retrainers supporting them through their Early Careers Programme. I also work with our managers and buddies in a supporting role for our Early Careers colleagues to ensure everyone has the knowledge, skills, tools and support to provide a fantastic journey for everyone in our Early Careers Community
My Apprenticeship has been a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills whilst also developing and practicing existing skills.
I love the practical element of my coaching programme and being able to actively weave that in to my role is amazing. My coaching sessions are my favourite part of my day. The theory I find trickier but that's just personal preference.
We have a really clear timetable of learning and clear deadlines. Its super structured which I love! There are parts that rely on you to be structured and make sure you hit your 20% so having an engaged an supportive manager really helps with this
So much. The support and enthusiasm for learning and development at AutoTrader is incredible. There is a real understanding across the business of the value that Apprenticeships bring and a buy in to ensuring all apprentices get their 20% development time and are able to balance their learning with the day job
My experience with the provider for my programme has been good. The skills coach is fantastic, knowledgeable and supportive. The only thing I would have liked more support from the provider on was functional skills. I found this difficult to manage alongside the apprenticeship
A lot of my role involves informal coaching so its really helped me to hone my practice and understand better the way that i work and the type of coach I am. It has also allowed me to really discover my love for coaching again and to look at ways I can bring this more in to my role.
There are LOADS! We have a number of different guilds and networks you can join if you are passionate about them or want to develop in a certain area. I have just joined the Family Network myself and been involved in the past with our Disability and Neurodiversity Network too. We also have lots of sports and Socials clubs like book club, netball, music club. The list goes on
