My work at A2V involved organisation and refinement of logistical processes. I often worked closely with PR parcels as well as factory samples. I came to work with CDS The Range and managed organising their shipments. This involved booking containers/ships, general transport and the arrival and disembarking of goods.
I developed my time keeping skills whilst learning the importance of keeping to strict time frames meaning we could deliver the best possible service available. Working at A2V also allowed me to enhance my customer skills both organically and digitally as well as interpersonal work relations within my team and external companies.
The team are lovely, i felt very welcomed in the offices and the support provided from both the team i worked with as well as Paragon was exceptional. There was always someone on hand to answer any questions i posed. The support given when facing any challenges from both groups was amazing and i am truely thankful for them.
I found my programme to be well structured and flexible, I often spoke with my tutor to alter work loads to help suit around what i had going on in my personal life and i found this really helped reduce stress. All the work i received was clearly explained and usually related to the previous pieces of work i completed. My tutor was always on hand to answer questions and supported me when i misunderstood assignments.
I felt the support from my employer was strong however i also feel some extra things could have been put in place to help. I often had my calls with my tutor over the phone and due to our office setup this meant our calls were restricted as i was surrounded by colleagues. However after mentioning this I was able to book out the conference rooms to allow for privacy during meetings.
My tutor was very supportive throughout my course. She supported me in more ways then one and I can’t sing her praise enough! She helped me thoroughly with work, indicating extra resources i could use to help me further my learning as well as supporting other situations. She was a very kind lady and helped me to adjust to the 9-5 working life.
This course gave me full access to the knowledge i needed to complete my job to the best of my ability. The extra work allowed me to not only learn what i was doing, but learn about it. I am someone who understands things better when de compartmentalised and this course provided that. It explained the role of my job as well as the hows and whys behind it all.
A2V have a social committee who are a team of colleagues that band together to provide social events, fun holiday activities as well as charity work on behalf of the company. They arranged quizes and activities over halloween and christmas as well as room decorations which really boosted team morale.
Yes
The team are lovely. Everyone is friendly and supportive and it’s a company where you can be yourself and feel established. You work hard but the results are worth it and you get to play hard too. It’s a natural company and they really encourage you to do and be the best you can.
Be yourself. They’re accepting and welcoming. I wouldn’t force anything, let it all come naturally, A2V is a place where it fits you. I would also suggest lots of research on the company as the CEO is lovely and has a cool back story which i found utterly inspiring.
