Most days consist of me checking my emails, responding to queries, attending regular update meetings and completing focused work tasks
Yes, I have learnt new skills in IT, developed presentation skills, attended personal effectiveness training and also gained lots of role specific skills
I really enjoy my programme. The support at AstraZeneca is great and the opportunities to develop are even better. My colleagues have all been excellent in welcoming me to the team and I always look forwards to coming into work
The programme is well structured. I attend university around 1/2 days every 4 to 6 weeks. I also have a regular weekly study day which is dedicated solely to university work.
The support I receive is excellent. When I first started I was assigned with a mentor and a buddy to show me around and be contactable throughout the day. If I have any problems or queries, I am always supported and offered good guidance, sometimes through internal support groups too.
My tutors are usually very responsive and provide me with or guide me to a full range of support. They are very keen to support me and help me achieve the best grade. Although challenging, I always enjoy the academic elements of the course.
The theoretical knowledge I gain through my training provider is inextricably linked to the work within my current role. Although not yet complete, I know more about my job role and the industry from working towards my qualification
There are lots of social events at AZ. Currently due to covid there are limitations but some of the activities organised externally include bowling, takeout tuesdays, pub quiz thursday and other fun, exciting things
Yes
