on a day to day basis, I check emails, process third party resources into the MyHR system, as well as doing this I then also send confirmation emails and process the request, furthermore I check the overall HR inbox and also check absence and additional leave where I will then sit and process it on SAP
Developing skills in the work place feels very normal, due to work I am more organised due to having to manage my own day more, my ability on how to respond to situations and problem solve are slowly improving as well and lastly as working I am working in teak my overall communication skills have been improved
I enjoy the programme a lot, as it has opened my eyes to the world of HR massively, as I was unaware of the amount of things HR is responsible for. the people also are very helpful, supportive and friendly making it more enjoyable as it is easier to excel.
the programme is very organised and structured on the AA's front as they have managed to train me quickly and thoroughly on the systems I use. However the Avado team to begin with were more chaotic as it took more like 3 to 4 weeks for things to start to make sense.
the support received from my employer is massive, they never make me feel like any question is stupid, they have spent plenty of time with them learning the systems and If I ever have any problems I feel like I can go to anyone within the team.
at first the support was minimal and communication was very limited and confusing, however as time has gone on I have received an Learning development coach who has helped me to understand the course much better, so overall the support has been better midway then at the beginning.
I believe getting this qualification was a good way to open my eyes to the world of Hr and then from their it helps me to perform better in my role as I then understand why things within business are done the way they are. for instance understanding employment law.
Due to covid I don't think this has ever been mentioned, but if it were to be mentioned that would be cool, however the team did a christmas meal if that counts? but I don't see this as a good or bad thing if the company has or hasn't got these
Yes
the AA has been very supportive within the first two months of the apprenticeship as well as this, the atmosphere is great, the people and community with in Head office is very good and they make transitioning to a new job and environment very easy for everyone. overall its just a lot of fun.
never ever ever hesitate to ask a question, no question is every to big or small to not be answered by someone, no question is considered stupid, take as much information in as possible and always have a notebook on hand as there is lots to learn and remember. goodluck!
