I do data analytics, producing simple and easy-to-use dashboards using standard reports from our training database for the business to allow us to track & forecast our individual KPI's.
I have learnt how to use Power Bi - a Microsoft tool that is sort of like a mix between Excel and PowerPoint. I have developed my logical thinking and problem solving skills further.
The work is really engaging, interesting, varied and challenging (in a good way!). The business is heavily focused on its apprentices and graduates, and there is a whole host of support.
It's spot on.
Like previously mentioned, there is so much support - your manager, your 'buddy', the apprenticeship support manager, any team member, department heads, HR owners... the list goes on!
It's fine, not great but not bad either. My qualification was all online, so that plays a big part as well.
I'm struggling to find uses for a lot of the things I covered in this qualification. We did a segment on Power Bi which I use regularly in my role but it was very basic and didn't further my skillset.
There are always activities being posted on our noticeboards. For example, DHL is heavily involved in Pride, and all employees and their family and friends are invited to go along and support. There is also an initiative to cycle 50km in the month of June to raise money for charity.
Yes
On the whole, it is a very supportive and structured environment where your development is prioritised. Due to the size of DHL, even if you want a complete career change, you can still stay in the business. There is so much variety here.
Research DHL's values and make sure they align with your own - e.g. climate change (our GoGreen program).
