My role consists of planning data acquisition projects with brand teams and digital teams. This consists of weekly stand-up and sprint planning calls to plan different aspects of the project and determine the progress. My role mainly consists of planning for UK marketing projects and leading these until results come through.
I have learned many skills throughout my apprenticeship including how to use dashboards, compiling reports, and present to senior people in a team. I have also become more organised and better at time management since managing multiple projects. I have also learnt to work better in a team and co-ordination skills.
I thoroughly enjoy my program and the challenges it brings as it has allowed me to learn new skills and develop existing ones. When there are multiple projects at once the work load can be a struggle however by using my time management skills I can be organised ane make sure I enjoy my work at a strong pace.
My program is very well organised and I receive support from my mentor, line manager, and university. My team is also supportive of my 4 day working week with a study day and respects that I need to study for a degree on top of my day to day job.
My employer provides me with support such as 1-2-1s and constant support on Microsoft teams. my 1-2-1s improve reflections on my projects, my progress, and queries I may have. I receive support from my mentor, line manager and direct team, and if any issues arise I am confident they will try to help.
I receive support from my training provider in the form of progress reviews where I reflect on my assignments, university attendance, and workplace evidence which I am required to track. I know I am also able to reach out to my course director if I have any queries about my work.
My qualification through my university degree helps me to understand the theories and reasoning beneath my day-to-day tasks in my job. As I am doing a digital marketing degree and my job is in a digital team working across multiple brands, all of my skills learned here are relevant to my job.
There are extracurricular activities offered at my workplace including the gym with sports classes. Due to covid-19, there weren't many social events available however we had some virtual social events including quiz nights and cocktail making. Apprentices also have some exclusive social events which we can attend to network.

Unilever is a great employer which is inclusive of all backgrounds. I enjoy working for Unilever as I like the company culture and flexible working it offers to employees of all levels. They offer great opportunities to progress and learn, and develop skills through online programs and capability sessions to attend.
I would advise people applying to Unilever to research the role and their possible responsibilities which they could be undertaking in their team. I would also suggest to people to be open to taking on projects which might be out of their comfort zone to take on new challenges and learn new skills.
