My role includes requesting quotes, task orders. Reviewing RAMS and creating works packs for schemes to go out on the motorways and other Major Roads. This includes surveys, vegetation cuts and full resurfacing jobs.
I have learnt a lot of new skills while on this job such as the ablility to review RAMS and find points which are not up to standard. I have learnt how to use EXCEL and many other microsoft programmes.
I really enjoy my programme, not only is it challenging and pushing me to learn new things everyday but it is also a very good and fast pace environment.
My programme isn't very structured and the course I am on does not communicate very well with its attendees resulting in being unsure about what is going on in the course and its start dates etc.
My employer doesnt really keep in contact with me and how i am doing but is very quick to respond to any issues i have or what i need.
Have not fully started my course so cannot say however the training provider has not been supplying me with much information on the course or when it is starting.
